Registration is now open for our 5th Annual Closing the Gap Breakfast! Each year we take you inside some of the healing moments in our members’ lives. Inspiring stories of the success of our members will be shared through their words, art, poetry, and music, including a performance by our Closing the Gap Chorus.
This year we are pleased to announce that we will be presenting our Bridge Builder Award to Mike Blach of Blach Construction. Mike’s community contributions are extensive; Santa Clara University Board of Regents, Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County Board Chair, President of San Jose Rotary, etc., etc.
Mike’s faith and his sense of social justice infuses all that he does, which is what makes Blach Construction show up regularly on the “Best Places to Work in SV” lists. When Mike first learned about Recovery Cafe San Jose, he said, “This place will save lives” … a phrase one of our members was heard saying recently as she went out the door after dinner.
There is no charge to attend, but this is a fundraising breakfast and we will be asking for donations.
